SMT Equipment Programmer

Exciting opportunity for an SMT Equipment Programmer located in the Greater Toronto Area. This role focuses on providing technical support, programming, and maintenance of surface mount technology equipment used in manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of relevant experience, with a strong foundation in electronics and SMT equipment. You will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and ensuring the optimal performance of production equipment while contributing to quality and efficiency improvements. Your expertise in inspection systems and CAD will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update programming for engineering change requests

• Troubleshoot SMT printing and reflow processes

• Provide front-line technical support for equipment

• Conduct root cause analysis for process issues

• Mentor operators on equipment operation best practices

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in electrical or computer fields

• 2-3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing

• Familiarity with industry quality standards

• Strong teamwork and communication capabilities

• Experience in lean manufacturing is beneficial
