Duties & Responsibilities- Lead and manage departmental Lead Hands, ensuring optimal staffing, team performance, and alignment with production goals.
- Oversee end-to-end production operations in a build‑to‑order environment, ensuring efficiency, workflow coordination, and timely output.
- Drive overall manufacturing efficiency, equipment utilization, and product quality across the production lifecycle.
- Lead problem‑solving, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal audit processes.
- Enforce Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, promoting a protected and compliant workplace.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and capacity planning, including recommendations for expansion.
- Support new product introduction through Design for Manufacturing (DFM), transitioning products from prototype to full production.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to production, quality, and operational performance.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (planning, scheduling, and purchasing).
- Proven involvement in new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp‑up.
- Strong understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement practices.
- Working knowledge of quality systems, audits, and health & safety standards.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration and clear communication with leadership and internal stakeholders.
