$27.00 to $29.00 per hour
Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company seeking a hands‑on Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage
Record and maintain receiving and inventory information within the company's inventory management system
Label, organize, and store raw materials, packaging, and supplies appropriately
Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production teams regarding incoming materials
Investigate and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods
Prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications and timelines
Pick, pack, label, and stage products for shipping
Complete shipping documentation, bills of lading, and carrier paperwork
Coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation providers
Verify product lot codes and maintain accurate traceability records
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory activities
Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO principles
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Support additional warehouse and production activities as required
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations
Valid forklift certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Good mathematical and problem-solving abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment
Work Environment
Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with exposure to food ingredients and spice-related odors
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs (25 kg)
Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
