Position: Cnc Machinist Auto Sector

Role Description

This is a full-time, in office CNC Machinist role based in Toronto, ON, focused on precision manufacturing for the auto sector. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, including milling equipment, to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include selecting appropriate tooling, loading programs, performing test runs, and making adjustments to ensure accurate dimensions and surface finishes. The role involves conducting in-process inspections, performing basic quality checks, and documenting results to maintain compliance with quality and safety standards. The CNC Machinist will also perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot minor issues, collaborate with supervisors and engineers on production improvements, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in machine operation and general machinery handling, including setup, safe operation, and basic maintenance.
  • Solid machining and milling skills, with experience working from technical drawings and using precision measuring tools.
  • Hands‑on experience with quality control practices, including dimensional inspection, use of gauges, and documentation of results.
  • Previous CNC machining experience in the auto or precision manufacturing sector is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work on‑site in a rapid‑paced production environment and collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
  • Completion of a relevant trade program, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
