Seasonal Packaging Technician

Help us “Bring Out the Best!” Unilever is recruiting for a Seasonal Packaging Technician at our Rexdale facility where we produce Hellmann’s Mayonnaise.

• Work under the direction of the Production Supervisors in the Manufacturing Department.
• Be responsible for all aspects of line operation including cleaning, changeovers, lubrication and troubleshooting according to established procedures.
• Adhere to all safety regulations while operating machinery.
• Inspect products and complete required quality checks and necessary forms.
• Maintain the quality and quantity of product as set by Quality Assurance and packaging Production Standards.
• Manage changeovers as necessary, using basic hand tools, cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
• Operate machines and keep watch for malfunctions.

• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of WHMIS, LOTO, GMP.
• Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience, or 2 years of customer service experience, or a relevant manufacturing/technical educational background.
• IT skills – competent in the use of machine data and control systems.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort using hand tools.
• HACCP trained is an asset.
