We are seeking talented Mechanical Assemblers to join our team!
Potential Work Schedule- Day Shift: Monday – Friday; 6:30 am – 3:00 pm (40hrs per week)
- Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday; 4:00 pm- 2:00 am (38hrs per week)
- Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday; 6:00 am- 6:00 pm (36hrs per week)
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly base pay rate for these positions is $24.25-$28.
These positions may be entitled to a $1 shift premium per hour for afternoon shift and $2.50 shift premium for the weekend shift.
These positions may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and team performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 4% of annual base earnings.
Join Our Team as Mechanical Assemblers!Are you passionate about assembly? S&C Electric Company is seeking dynamic individuals for our assembly function. As Assemblers, you will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble basic/moderately complex mechanical parts. Utilize hand tools and power tools to fasten screws, bolts, and other hardware to secure components in place, ensuring proper torque and alignment.
- Inspect mechanical components meticulously to identify any defects, ensuring they meet strict quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, deviations, and any quality concerns.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling tools, equipment, and materials. Report any safety hazards promptly.
- Complete in-house training to learn how to read basic blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOLs).
- Use an overhead crane, ladders, and other material handling equipment to move and position materials for assembly.
- Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
- 0-5 years of experience in assembly with a desire to learn electrical/mechanical assembly processes, follow assembly instructions, and use various hand/power tools to assemble products.
- Proficient in performing precise and delicate tasks using hands and fingers. Able to manipulate small objects, operate tools, and handle intricate equipment effectively.
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently.
- Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned material requests.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications.
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate measurements and weights.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department.
