Job Overview
We are hiring in North York for an Embroidery Machine Operator with Randstad Canada for a client specializing in sports apparel customization.
Schedule & CompensationLocation:
Gurney Crescent, North York, ON.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm – $19 /hour.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 4:30 pm‑1:00 am – $20 /hour.
Contract is for 3 months with possibility for extension or full‑time placement.
EligibilityStudents on academic drop or scheduled break and willing to do general labor work may be hired.
Responsibilities- You will set up Tajima embroidery machines, including the loading of garments/letters/numbers using DST files.
- You will be selecting the thread, fabric, hoops, and designs appropriate for each project.
- You have the ability to carefully perform small troubleshooting exercises when needed.
- You will perform regular machine inspections and report any issues.
- You must have the ability to work in a fast paced setting.
- Experience with hooping is a plus, but not required.
- QC is key:
You will detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to a supervisor.
- You have at least 2 to 5 years of previous embroidery machine operation experience.
- You have at least 2 years of hooping of garments for embroidery.
- You must be able to fluently speak and understand English.
- Sports background / knowledge preferred.
- Time management:
Completing orders within the stipulated time frame to ensure timely delivery to clients. - Attention to detail:
Ability to closely follow design specifications and produce high-quality embroidery. - You’re a dedicated candidate that takes pride in every project that leaves our production facility.
