Who we need

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our day shift team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this is an opportunity to apply your leadership in assembly and production operations to a space where every project matters. You will manage day-to-day production operations by following plant policies, procedures, and processes and inspire and guide the work of a team.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy and is a full-time role, working in our facility in Scarborough, Ontario. Core hours of approximately 7:00am–4:30pm, with flexibility required based on operational needs.

What’s in it for you

Operational ownership. This is a critical leadership role on the day shift, where you will drive the full assembly operation, actively shaping the plan. You will lead from the front, setting direction for downstream shifts and ensuring alignment across production.

Strategic impact. In this role, your leadership directly influences safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. You’ll be the bridge between strategy and execution—making decisions, solving problems, and ensuring assembly operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your contribution will drive measurable results and strengthen overall performance across the organization.

Dynamic environment. You will operate in a highly variable production environment with defined peak seasons (summer and winter), requiring adaptability in leadership, workforce planning, and execution. During non-peak periods, you will focus on planning, process improvement, and readiness.

Supportive Leadership. You will be working under a leader known for developing his team, promoting from within, and empowering people to grow. The coaching style is supportive, hands-on when needed, and focused on helping you succeed. This role offers a path toward Plant Management or broader operational leadership opportunities.

Your role and responsibilities

You will lead and develop high-performing teams:

  • Coach, mentor, and develop production operators and team leads
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Lead structured daily huddles focused on performance, problem-solving, and alignment
  • Identify skill gaps and drive cross-training and capability development plans
  • Be highly present on the shop floor, leading in real time

Drive performance and execution

  • Ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient production execution
  • Monitor and act on key performance indicators (productivity, efficiency, quality, delivery)
  • Identify performance gaps and lead actions to close them
  • Balance daily output needs with long-term team and process improvements

Improve processes and eliminate waste

  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows, material flow, and labor utilization
  • Actively improve processes to increase throughput and reduce waste
  • Reinforce and continuously improve standard work
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and CI teams on improvements and implementation

Lead problem-solving and data-driven decision making

  • Investigate and resolve production issues using structured problem-solving
  • Use available data (production results, downtime, labor performance) to guide decisions
  • Drive root cause resolution instead of short-term fixes
  • Translate floor-level challenges into actionable improvements

Collaborate cross-functionally

  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and CI teams
  • Support…
