Harris as an Optical Coating Technician on the Weekend Shift in Toronto. This role focuses on the manufacturing of optical thin films while solving technical challenges and ensuring quality.

In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting the production of optical elements for WESCAM MX-series. Your work will involve interpreting optical schematics, cleaning coating chambers, and collaborating with engineers to tackle day-to-day challenges in the coating cell. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute assembly and integration of optical components

• Troubleshoot complex optical and mechanical issues

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams

• Manage multiple production priorities effectively

• Maintain documentation of testing and maintenance

Requirements:

• 2-5 years experience in optical vacuum coating

• Ability to interpret optical and mechanical drawings

• Strong diagnostic skills for optical systems

• Effective communication skills in a team environment

• Able to work independently and lift 30 lbs when needed
