Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Rocket Lab

Drive aerospace production excellence with Rocket Lab as a Lead Manufacturing Engineer in Toronto, Ontario. Lead efforts to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality for ADCS components.

In this role, you’ll report to the engineering manager and oversee the manufacturing team at Rocket Lab’s Sinclair Interplanetary site. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing continuous improvements using six-sigma methodologies. Focus on issues such as process efficiency, yield optimization, and adherence to quality standards in a high-reliability manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead initiatives to improve production efficiency and yield

• Document new and existing manufacturing procedures

• Train technicians on updated processes and instructions

• Analyze manufacturing discrepancies and implement solutions

• Conduct cost and schedule studies for production processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

• 5+ years in high-reliability manufacturing

• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

• Team management and mentoring experience

• Knowledge of mechanical processing and assembly
