OverviewAs the Electrical Mechanical Technician you will assemble electrical equipment, troubleshoot and diagnose Jule Systems, provide technical support at various sites, and test electrical systems in-house. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and part lists; assembling components and subassemblies using hand tools and hoists; conducting quality control checks; maintaining production equipment; tracking inventory; documenting quality forms; and complying with safety protocols.
This role requires 30% travel within the USA and Canada for servicing, installation, maintenance, testing, and training.
- Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies
- Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions
- Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists
- Use hand tools, power tools, or machines to assemble parts
- Insulate containers and cabinets
- Conduct quality control checks
- Comply with and assist with the development of safety protocols
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment, including tools
- Prepare work by studying part lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verify specifications by measuring completed components
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor for additional resources
- Maintain equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Maintain inventory by checking stock, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Other duties as assigned
- 3 years of experience as an electrical/mechanical assembler
- Exceptional understanding and ability to interpret technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Solid understanding of operating procedures
- Ability to use a multimeter
- Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks
- Good hand‑eye coordination
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety rules
- Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not required
- Required to travel to the U.S. and Canada for 30% of the time upon commencing employment
Expected wages range: $22 to $26 per hour, with final compensation determined based on skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. Jule is committed to pay equity and to offering compensation that is fair, transparent, and competitive.
