Position: Processing Assistant (Post-Harvest)
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented Processing Assistant to support post-harvest operations within a regulated cannabis production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of processing, packaging, and sanitation activities, ensuring all work meets Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, Good Production Practices (GPP), and internal SOPs.

  • Pay Rate: $ 18.50/hour
  • Location: Scarborough, ON
  • Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm | Monday to Thursday every other week

Responsibilities:
Processing & Production:
  • Perform hand trimming of cannabis flower
  • Conduct flower removal from stems using scissors according to SOPs
  • Weigh, portion, and package product to specification
  • Accurately record production data, including weights and batch details
  • Maintain product integrity by handling materials carefully and minimizing loss
Quality & Compliance:
  • Adhere strictly to GPP, sanitation, and contamination control procedures
  • Identify and report product defects, contamination risks, or deviations
  • Ensure all processes meet Health Canada cleanliness and security standards
  • Follow all documentation practices with a high level of accuracy
Facility & Equipment Support:
  • Clean and sanitize tools, drying racks, and workstations
  • Assist with inventory counts and secure material handling
  • Support harvest and room turnover activities when required
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and quality targets
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary in horticulture, agriculture, or related field is an asset
  • 1+ year of experience in the cannabis industry (commercial experience is an asset but not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict processes
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and working in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/sit for extended periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of Health Canada Cannabis Regulations and GPP is an asset
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if required
  • Indoor work within controlled processing and cultivation environments
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and strong odors
  • Exposure to cleaning agents such as isopropyl alcohol (with proper PPE and training)
  • Fast-paced environment requiring focus, endurance, and consistency
  • Strict adherence to personal hygiene standards
  • No jewelry, nail polish, or makeup permitted in production areas
  • A patient, detail-oriented, and quality-focused individual
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable
  • Ability to follow strict regulatory and safety protocols
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
