• Salary:
  The expected salary range for this position is between $47,000 and $63,000 CAD, in accordance with the Ontario Pay Transparency Act. Compensation may also include company stock options, cash incentives, and benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and parental leave.

• Perform mechanical assembly and integration of spacecraft hardware in a cleanroom environment, ensuring all components are assembled according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Combine electrical subassemblies with mechanical housings, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Assemble and adjust opto-mechanical subassemblies, including star trackers and other optical units, to meet performance specifications.
• Conduct functional testing and performance verification on reaction wheel assemblies, star trackers, and other units, documenting test results accurately.
• Perform final inspections on parts, subassemblies, and integrated units, including mass checks, visual inspections, and photographic documentation.
• Install bearings into reaction wheel assemblies, ensuring correct preload and alignment.
• Apply lubricants precisely to rotary components, following specified procedures to ensure reliability and performance.
• Adjust reaction wheels and other moving parts to achieve proper clearances and preload bearings, verifying operational parameters.
• Clean components thoroughly using ultrasonic cleaning methods and manual cleaning techniques to remove contaminants and ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Modify fixtures, jigs, and production components as needed to support assembly and testing processes.
• Document all assembly steps, test procedures, inspection results, and modifications accurately in company records.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve assembly or testing issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to cleanroom protocols and safety procedures.
• Assist in developing and improving assembly and testing procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Support other team members and participate in team meetings to coordinate activities and share technical knowledge.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including handling ESD-sensitive hardware and working within controlled environments.
• Occasionally assist with calibration and setup of testing equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing and assembly processes.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in precision mechanical assembly, integration, or related roles, preferably within aerospace or high-reliability environments.
• Demonstrated ability to handle small components with fine motor skills and precision tools such as tweezers, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Good near-vision, with or without corrective lenses, to perform detailed inspections and assembly tasks.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment, following strict cleanliness and ESD protocols.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and work procedures accurately.
• Familiarity with using measurement tools such as digital or analog calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and torque wrenches.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical properties of materials, especially aluminum and other aerospace-grade metals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure quality and traceability of work.
• Good communication skills to document processes and collaborate with team members.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and handle sensitive hardware responsibly.
