Harris is inviting technology college students to participate in its co-op program starting January 2027. You will be responsible for generating and polishing optical components using advanced CNC equipment. The role allows you to work closely with experienced professionals in a supportive environment focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and program CNC machines effectively

• Grind and polish optical components to specifications

• Operate diamond turned CNC for aspheric components

• Inspect optical elements for accuracy and conformity

• Troubleshoot complex machinery issues as needed

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a relevant technician/technologist diploma program

• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings

• Technical prowess in machinery operation

• Familiarity with principles of physics and chemistry

• Excellent collaboration and independent working skills
