The Process & Plant Operator is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation
and maintenance of the facility. This position performs activities required to operate and
maintain the plant as part of a team, including process control, laboratory testing, equipment
operation, and basic maintenance duties.
Main Responsibilities:
Education & Experience:
- Minimum post-secondary education required
- Minimum 2-5 years related experience
- Associate's degree in science/technical field preferred
- Heavy Equipment Operator certification an asset
- Experience with anaerobic digestion highly regarded
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, Anaerobic Digestion
processes and laboratory procedures - Proficient computer skills (SCADA, email, data analysis)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Forklift certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic mathematical skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to follow procedures
- Team-oriented with strong work ethic
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, physical environment
- Exposure to dust and process odors
- Must provide own transportation
Schedule:
- Monday-Sunday rotation 4 days on 2 days off
- Temporary full-time contract position to provide paternity leave coverage
- Rotating shifts: 5:00 AM-2:30 PM & 2 PM-11:30 PM
- Overtime availability
Compensation
- $28-$31 per hour
