Position: Environmental Health Safety Coordinator [SK-14742]

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an EHS Coordinator to join their team in Scarborough, ON. This role offers the opportunity to drive a strong safety culture within an organization recognized for its commitment to innovation, people, and the environment.

The Role

As the EHS Coordinator, you will play a hands‑on role in supporting plant safety performance by leading risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with site management and employees to embed proactive safety practices and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead detailed risk analyses, audits, and inspections to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop, deliver, and oversee advanced health and safety training programs for leaders and employees.
  • Manage incident investigations, develop corrective actions, and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Oversee PPE use, emergency response planning, and the implementation of site-level safety projects.
  • Teach proactive risk management strategies to support organizational change and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports and communicate key H&S results and metrics to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and its plant‑level application.
  • Proven experience in risk analysis, safety audits, incident management, and corrective action planning.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail when managing multiple priorities.
