Material Handler (Temp to Hire) – Pharmaceutical Production, Monday to Friday Days
This role may also be known as:
General Labourer, Production Associate, Warehouse Associate, Production Material Handler

Steady Monday to Friday day shifts in a clean pharma facility, at $20/hour, with a real path to a full-time job.
  • Most of this team started as temps and were hired full time.
  • Weekday daytime hours, with your evenings and weekends free.
  • Clean, controlled production work in place of a dusty warehouse floor.
About the Role
Looking for a temp job that turns into a permanent one? This is one. Most of the full-time team in this facility started on a temporary assignment, just like this one, and were hired on.
You’ll join a pharmaceutical manufacturer that runs a sterile hospital compounding facility in Mississauga. The IV products made here go to hospitals. When you keep the production line supplied, you help keep patient care moving.
The work is steady, hands-on and structured. If you’re reliable, you like knowing what’s expected of you and you take pride in doing things right, you’ll fit in well here.

Why This Opportunity Is Different
This is a temp role with a clear path to permanent work. The team has a track record of hiring its temporary staff full time. Strong performers can also move into the pick and pack area, which builds new skills and grows your value to the team.
You’ll work in a clean, controlled environment with clear procedures and a team lead who trains and guides you. You get training badges and on-site training on day one, and all PPE is provided, including a jacket for cold-room work. The schedule is predictable, overtime is minimal, and you’re home every evening and weekend.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Prepare IV bags for production by removing their outer wrap so the line is never left waiting.
  • Stage unwrapped bags in the correct bins and containers so production runs smoothly.
  • Fill and replenish bins to keep supply ahead of demand.
  • Follow the facility’s entry, footwear-cleaning and hygiene procedures that protect a sterile environment.
  • Work safely and accurately under the direction of your team lead and keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Once trained and proven, move into picking, bagging, checking and packing orders in the cold room.
What We’re Looking For
  • Ankle-high CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots from day one (sneaker-style safety shoes are not accepted).
  • Able to stand for up to 7 hours and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable with repetitive, routine work for a full shift, and able to follow instructions and strict procedures.
  • Available Monday to Friday with a 7:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. start.
  • Reliable transportation or a transit route to Skymark Avenue in Mississauga.
  • Willing to complete a short 10 to 15 minute Microsoft Teams interview with the team lead before starting.
  • Asset: previous general labour, warehouse, production or material handling experience.
  • Asset: experience in a pharmaceutical, food or clean-room environment, or in pick and pack.
Compensation & Work Model
  • $20.00 per hour CAD.
  • Temporary to hire, onsite, 40 hours per week.
  • Shifts run 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; your first day starts at 8:00 a.m.
  • Minimal overtime, with occasional overtime possible in December, paid at time and a half after 44 hours per week.
Location & Travel
The facility is onsite on Skymark Avenue near Eglinton Avenue in Mississauga, Ontario, and is accessible by public transit. No travel is required.
