MKTG S+E is a part of the broader dentsu Sports International network.

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Account Director to lead integrated sponsorship programs working on a financial services client, with a focus on women's sports, hockey, and music. You will manage one direct report and report to the VP of Sponsorship Consulting. You'll lead projects in brand storytelling, cultural relevance, and fan engagement.

You will have split responsibilities across sponsorship consulting, experiential activation, and hospitality management. Creating strategic frameworks, leading large-scale activations, and delivering premium client and guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of sponsorship strategies across a financial services client in sports (especially women's sports and hockey), music and other sponsorship platforms.

• Serve as the senior daily client contact, managing relationships and delivering strategic counsel and flawless execution.

• Manage and mentor junior staff, promoting a high-performing and inclusive team culture.

• Design and oversee integrated activation plans including digital, social, experiential, and media components.

• Stay ahead of trends in sponsorship, fan behavior, and cultural movements—especially in women's sports and music.

• Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities with leagues, teams, artists, and events that align with client goals, using the agency's proprietary measurement tools and data-driven frameworks to ensure strategic fit and performance potential.

• Lead the contract negotiations process in collaboration with clients and their legal teams, with a particular focus on category exclusivity

• Oversee the creation of strategic documents, executive presentations, and performance reports.

• Collaborate with our teams and external partners to deliver the best activations and hospitality experiences.

• Support hospitality programs including ticketing, VIP experiences, and on-site client servicing at important events.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in sponsorship consulting, brand marketing, or agency account management.

• 4+ years working women's sports landscape, hockey ecosystems, and music partnerships.

• Experience managing sponsorship programs for financial services brands.

• Experience in planning and executing experiential activations and hospitality programs.

• Strong knowledge of sponsorship valuation, rights negotiation, and ROI measurement.

• Experience managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.

• Strong connections within the Canadian sponsorship ecosystem, including established relationships with brands, properties, agencies, and key industry stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to and advocate for a positive organizational culture, serving as a visible and engaged representative of the agency in both internal and public-facing settings.

• Proven experience in contract negotiations for sponsorship agreements, especially as it relates to category exclusivity and important business terms

The salary range for this position is $97,500-$130,000. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
