In 1957, our founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health by forgoing her own medicine to pay for her sick daughter’s prescription. He knew there had to be a better way. So, he introduced North America’s first prepaid drug plan, and Green Shield was born as a not-for-profit with a mission to support better health for all Canadians.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
The position is primarily focused on the technical and creative aspects of proposal writing. It involves working with internal stakeholders to develop key messages on various programs or initiatives for external audiences, being responsible for the full process of proposal completion (from analysis of the marketing specifications to the final “on brand” bound product), and supporting content management for the proposal database.
The proposal writer will also interact with members of the Marketing and Communications Team, contributing to team projects and supporting our sales teams. This position will report to the Manager, Communications.
