Volunteer – Communications & SOCIAL MEDIA; Experienced

Position: VOLUNTEER ROLE – COMMUNICATIONS & SOCIAL MEDIA (Experienced Only)
MNLC supports newcomers with settlement services, English language programs, employment support, and community integration. We are seeking an experienced Volunteer to work on Communications & Outreach to strengthen our visibility and community reach.

Role Overview
We need a skilled communicator with nonprofit experience. This role requires someone who understands diverse communities and newcomer engagement. This is not suitable for high-school students.

Responsibilities

Create content for website, newsletters, social media, and outreach campaigns.

Develop stories that highlight MNLC programs, newcomer impact, and community initiatives.

Strengthen outreach to partners, donors, and newcomer communities.

Support communications for fundraising and community events.

Ensure consistent, culturally responsive messaging across all channels.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of communications, marketing, PR, or nonprofit outreach experience.

Strong writing, editing, and content-creation abilities.

Experience supporting newcomer or immigrant communities.

Ability to develop professional messaging and manage multiple channels.

Professional maturity; ability to work independently.
