Alumni Communications Specialist

Position: York University Alumni Communications Specialist
Enhance York University's alumni engagement as a Communications Specialist. Create compelling materials that foster strong relationships between the University and its global alumni community.

In collaboration with the Associate Director of Alumni Communications, you will craft, produce, and share communications materials that promote positive relations with alumni and donors. This role requires a blend of advanced writing, digital content creation, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will leverage communication skills to cultivate alumni engagement and support for the University.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and produce alumni and donor communication materials

• Collaborate on multimedia communications like podcasts and social media

• Research and interview to inform content development

• Edit and proofread to ensure high-quality outputs

• Manage diverse communications projects to meet deadlines

Requirements:

• Diploma in Journalism or Communications-related field

• Minimum three years in communications or related experience

• Advanced skills in desktop publishing and digital communications

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Familiarity with fundraising standards is an asset
