Copywriter, CRM

We’re looking for a CRM-focused Copywriter to join the INNOCEAN team in our Toronto office. This is a CRM-first role focused on developing compelling customer communications across many touchpoints. You’ll bring brand stories to life through clear, persuasive, and personalized messaging, while also supporting broader integrated campaigns when needed.

The CRM Copywriter plays a key role in bringing our clients' brands to life through strategic, customer-centric communications. With a primary focus on CRM, this role develops compelling, personalized messaging across multiple customer touchpoints while supporting integrated campaigns when needed. Working closely with creative, strategy, account, media, and production teams, the CRM Copywriter helps deliver engaging customer experiences that build brand loyalty and drive business results.

• Develop ideas and write compelling copy for CRM formats and mediums.
• Translate brand, retail, and business objectives into clear, personalized customer messaging.
• Support integrated campaign work across digital, social, broadcast, print, radio, out-of-home, Point of Sale, and web as needed, with CRM remaining the primary focus.
• Partner with creative, account, strategy, data, media, and production teams to deliver work from concept through execution.
• Present concepts, customer journeys, and copy to internal teams and clients.
• Participate in new business opportunities, especially where CRM and customer communications play a key role.

• Strong CRM copywriting experience is required, including experience developing customer communications across all touchpoints in the customer journey.
• Must have knowledge and experience in the creative development and execution of integrated CRM programs.
• Comfortable adapting brand voice across personalized, targeted, and performance-driven customer touchpoints.
• Experience working with strategists, account teams, media teams, and production partners is an asset.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong command of the English language and very detail-oriented.
• Ability to work with fellow creative people, business partners, and clients to move projects from concept to completion.
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, advertising, marketing, or public relations, plus 5-10 years of relevant experience and a proven track record.
