Creative Development Communications Officer

Elevate storytelling at the University of Toronto as a Development Communications Officer. Play a key role in shaping narratives that celebrate donor impact and alumni success.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Advancement Communications, this position blends creativity and strategy within Rotman’s Brand and Communications team. The Development Communications Officer will craft compelling content, develop integrated communication strategies, and connect diverse audiences with the School's mission. Engage deeply with fundraising initiatives, alumni engagement, and major events through effective written communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, write, and edit donor impact reports and proposals

• Create content for print, digital, and social media platforms

• Develop strategies for fundraising and alumni engagement communications

• Execute email communications for major campaigns and events

• Tailor messaging for various communication channels

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or relevant field

• Five years of experience in advancement or related communications

• Strong writing and editorial skills with attention to detail

• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders

• Experience in leveraging social media effectively
