Whatis the opportunity
The Internal Communications Specialist will advance the company's strategies and culture by providing editorial, graphics and project management support for a wide range of internal communications and branding projects. This position reports to the Communications Manager and involves collaboration with HR, operating units, and other departments to inform, engage and inspire internal stakeholders.
What will you do- Support business objectives through thoughtful, strategic, timely and impactful internal communications.
- Prepare communications campaigns and materials, including daily news stories, leadership messages, events, internal website content and newsletters.
- Liaise with global colleagues, graphic designers, translators and other internal stakeholders to plan, develop, finalize and distribute communications.
- Proactively contribute ideas and creativity to brainstorming and planning discussions, as well as team meetings.
- Work directly with senior leaders across the organization to deliver impactful content.
- Measure and report communications results and propose improvements based on these results.
- Post‑secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
- 7+ years professional communications experience.
- Experience planning and supporting strategic communications campaigns.
- Confidence working with and advising leaders at different levels of the company.
- Highly organized, articulate, with flawless attention to detail and a focus on anticipating stakeholders’ needs.
- Flexible and willing to shift priorities based on the needs of the day.
- A strategic mindset focused on initiating new ideas and stories to elevate communications.
- Ability to develop engaging communications with a strong understanding of how to deliver tactics across different channels.
- Excellent communication skills, able to understand and convey complex ideas persuasively and efficiently.
- Strong editing, proofreading skills and high standards for timely product delivery.
- Experience advising and liaising with senior leaders.
- Readiness to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, multitasking on a variety of projects with urgency and quality.
- A team player with strong desire to learn and collaborate, while being self‑driven and independent.
- Understanding of communications measurement tools, tactics and benchmarks.
- Familiarity with communications software, including content management systems, to post stories to broad audiences.
