Position: Contract Publicist at HarperCollins
Elevate your publicity skills with Harper Collins Canada as a Contract Publicist for six months. You'll manage media relations and author promotions within a hybrid work environment.

As a Contract Publicist, you will report to the Director of Publicity and oversee the promotion of titles in the Canadian market.

Your role involves planning author tours and securing media coverage across various outlets. Additionally, you will write press materials and cultivate relationships with media professionals to enhance our authors' visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute author appearances and book tours

• Pitch and secure interviews with national media outlets

• Arrange travel and create tour schedules for authors

• Write compelling press releases and promotional materials

• Brief authors on key messaging for interviews

Requirements:

• 1+ years of publicity experience, preferably in publishing

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Ability to manage tight deadlines in a team environment

• Excellent organizational and presentation abilities

• Willing to travel for events and appearances
