The Senior Specialist, Client & Marketing Analytics owns the firm's marketing intelligence function, transforming data from across the marketing and client engagement ecosystem into strategic insight that drives business development, strengthens client relationships, and supports firm growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Intelligence, this role builds and maintains the analytical infrastructure that makes the entire marketing function smarter: unified reporting, executive dashboards, engagement intelligence, and BD-enabling insight.
This job posting is for an existing vacancy. This is not a campaign execution role. We are looking for someone who can synthesizes data across channels and systems, identify what it means, and how to use it effectively.
Major Responsibilities:
Marketing Intelligence & Integrated Reporting
Design and own the firm's integrated marketing analytics framework, drawing on data from the firm website, email marketing, social media, webinars, external content platforms, CRM, and BD pipeline
Build and maintain executive dashboards and insight reports that give marketing, BD, and firm leadership a clear, unified view of marketing effectiveness
Define KPIs and measurement frameworks across channels; ensure the right things are being measured, not just what is easy to measure
Translate complex, multi-source data into clear findings and actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, including firm leadership
Identify patterns in content consumption, audience behaviour, and engagement trends, and recommend improvements in targeting, format, and distribution strategy
Monitor AI search visibility (AEO) and provide recommendations as this channel matures
Business Development Intelligence
Analyze CRM and engagement data to identify highly engaged clients, dormant or disengaged contacts, and emerging areas of interest by industry or practice area
Develop engagement scoring and lead identification frameworks to support BD teams in prioritizing outreac
Flag warm prospects based on digital behaviour and interaction patterns
Use client and matter data to surface cross-selling opportunities and support growth-focused marketing initiatives
CRM Integrity, Data Governance & Compliance
Ensure email marketing lists are properly segmented, permission-based, and aligned with consent records
Support compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) by identifying contacts without appropriate consent, recommending re-permission strategies, and developing reporting that tracks consent status and compliance risk
Monitor and improve email deliverability performance
Promote and enforce ongoing data hygiene standards and list quality improvements across the marketing function
