This role will lead local suppliers to oversee all consumer insights work completed in Canada. This role will be tasked with being the impartial voice of the consumer by providing actionable insights that help guide both the brand strategy and the product pipeline strategy. This position will be responsible for independently monitoring brand performance and identifying opportunities for traffic growth, conducting research to assess and optimize advertising, marketing programs, guest experience and digital platforms with consumers, and closely monitoring category trends and competitive performance.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for playing a leadership role in the product research process (particularly the front-end innovation phases) and identifying opportunities for traffic growth by conducting research to assess and optimize product offerings through idea generation, concepts and thematics as well as sensory, product and value testing.
- Manages the development and deployment of surveys or other forms of research that assess customer needs or wants, evaluates business drivers, and uses findings to identify and capitalize on strategic business opportunities.
- Approves questionnaires, focus groups, or customer panels to ensure that the appropriate markets are targeted, and that actionable information is collected.
- Assesses findings, including buying habits and consumer opinions, and develops product or marketing recommendations meant to create more value, improve market penetration, or increase sales.
- Oversee the early stage and product concept screening process, including communication with R&D team on stimulus, research quality control and delivery (on time and within budget); taking a leadership role on analysis and communication/presentation of actionable results to key cross-functional teams including leadership.
- Responsible for sensory testing/CLT's, consumer market test feedback and OFTs. Closely involved withfinal analysis and presentation of results to Snr Leadership and cross-functional team members.
- Present thoughtful, actionable insights to the cross-functional teams on a regular basis, including
Leadership. - Lead the management, execution and analysis of product and value concept idea testing.
- Develop strong partnerships with internal teams and external partners (i.e. IPC). Act as liaison withother cross-functional team members and the N. American Insights team.
- Lead the execution and analysis of early stage advertising development for new product launch forlocal test markets. Manage execution and analysis of naming and positioning testing for new product platforms.
