Media Relations Manager for Sceptres

Lead the media relations efforts for the Toronto Sceptres as the Media & Community Relations Manager. Drive storytelling and build community connections in professional women’s hockey.

The Media & Community Relations Manager will shape audience engagement and public presence for the Toronto Sceptres. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, you will manage media strategies, enhance the team's visibility, and cultivate vital relationships with local and national media.

Your role will be foundational in establishing the team's community footprint and presence in the Toronto market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute media and community strategies

• Serve as the media contact for the Toronto Sceptres

• Cultivate relationships with digital and traditional media

• Manage media access for team events and practices

• Coordinate media materials in collaboration with the league

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in sports media relations

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field

• Proven experience in media pitching and public relations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of the Toronto sports landscape and hockey
