About The Opportunity

We're looking for a PR & Communications Manager to join a high-performing team and help elevate several travel brands, including Flight Centre and Corporate Traveller. This role blends strategic communications, media relations, content creation, and storytelling to position Flight Centre Travel Group as a leading and trusted voice in travel. You'll create compelling narratives that drive earned media coverage, generate website traffic, and influence conversations across traditional media, digital channels, and emerging AI-powered platforms.

  • Support strategic PR and communications initiatives across multiple travel brands, including Flight Centre and Corporate Traveller
  • Write press releases, key messages, briefing notes, executive talking points, and thought leadership content
  • Lead the development of owned content including travel reports, trend stories, and data-driven narratives
  • Create content designed to generate earned media coverage and drive website traffic
  • Identify timely storytelling opportunities using booking data, consumer insights, industry trends, and business priorities
  • Support executive profiling, speaking engagements, and external positioning efforts
  • Manage day-to-day press office operations in partnership with PR agency partners
  • Monitor the Canadian media landscape and identify opportunities for proactive brand participation
  • Coordinate communications campaigns across brands, agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Support issues management and reactive communications activities as required
  • Track and report on media coverage, share of voice, content performance, and campaign effectiveness
  • Ensure messaging remains clear, consistent, and aligned across multiple brands
  • Help optimize content visibility across traditional media, search, and AI-powered discovery platforms
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, journalism, media relations, or related fields
  • Experience working in agency, in-house, newsroom, or media environments
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Proven ability to simplify complex topics and identify compelling story angles
  • Experience developing owned content programs such as travel reports, data stories, and trend-based narratives
  • Understanding of how content is discovered across traditional media, search engines, and AI-powered platforms
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian media landscape
  • Experience managing high-volume communications activity across multiple brands or stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-profile environments
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage reactive communications and issues management situations with confidence
  • Self-starter with strong ownership and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for travel, media, communications, and storytelling
  • CPRS or IABC accreditation is considered an asset
  • Journalism experience is considered an asset
  • Fluency in both French and English is required
