Lead the transformative major gifts program at Toronto Humane Society. This directorial role emphasizes strategic planning, donor engagement, and team leadership in a hybrid work model.

As Director of Major Gifts, you will shape the fundraising strategy and build robust relationships with donors to generate impactful contributions. Collaborating closely with the Chief Development Officer, your skills in relationship management and fundraising will directly support the organization’s  Strategic Plan. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of philanthropy and mentoring team members.

• Build and execute a major gifts strategy for growth
• Manage a diverse portfolio of major donors and prospects
• Champion a culture of philanthropy organization-wide
• Lead strategic donor events and fundraising campaigns
• Regularly assess and refine fundraising strategies

• Proven track record in major gift fundraising
• Strong knowledge of donor engagement principles
• Experience leading high-performing teams
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Familiarity with donor management databases preferred
