This temporary full-time position at The Salvation Army involves fulfilling client needs through effective assessment and support strategies. You will actively engage with clients, manage food donations, and maintain a safe and organized food bank environment. Responsibilities also include compliance with health and safety protocols during service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake assessments and determine client needs
• Facilitate referrals to pastoral assistance
• Process, sort, and document food/toy donations
• Ensure tidiness and stock levels in the food bank
• Arrange disposal of non-usable items received
Requirements:
• Must be between 15 and 30 years old
• Completed at least Grade 10 education
• Minimum three months of relevant community experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Safe Food Handling and CPR certifications preferred
Provide critical outreach support while developing valuable community engagement skills.
