Position: YMCA Newcomer Youth Program Support
Become a Newcomer Youth Program Assistant at the YMCA, where you will support youth leadership development efforts in Scarborough, North York, and Etobicoke. This part-time role is designed for those passionate about community service.

In this pivotal contract position, you will help coordinate activities and provide logistical support for Newcomer Youth Leadership Development programs. Your collaboration with Newcomer Youth Advisors is key to ensuring effective outreach and engagement of diverse participants. This role is fundamental in fostering positive experiences for newcomer youth through organized activities and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate leadership development activities across various locations

• Prepare materials and manage logistics for program sessions

• Assist with outreach and registration for youth participants

• Support volunteer administration and recruitment processes

• Help plan and execute community involvement events

Requirements:

• Partial post-secondary education is an asset

• 1-2 years of related experience, preferably with youth

• Well-developed communication skills; second language is a plus

• Understanding of resources available for newcomer youth

• A commitment to promoting an inclusive environment
