Community Engagement Worker

Become a vital part of social justice initiatives in Regent Park as a Community Engagement Worker. This full-time role emphasizes outreach, collaboration, and building community capacity.

Regent Park Community Health Centre is seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Worker to support its engagement initiatives. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partners. You will implement community programs, facilitate consultations, and enhance participation to address health equity and well-being. Regular community engagement and occasional evening work are intrinsic to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement community engagement activities following RPCHC’s framework

• Build relationships with diverse community groups and leaders

• Conduct outreach to increase awareness of services

• Plan and facilitate community consultations and workshops

• Represent RPCHC at community events and initiatives

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in community development or related field

• At least three years of community engagement experience

• Strong facilitation and organizational skills

• Knowledge of trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approaches

• Experience with volunteer coordination is an asset
