Position: Senior Development Officer at Make-A-Wish
Make a difference as a Senior Development Officer focusing on community partnerships at Make-A-Wish Canada. This hybrid role involves fundraising event planning and donor engagement in St John's, Newfoundland & Labrador.

In this full-time contract position, you'll oversee fundraising events, cultivate donor relationships, and engage with the community. A collaborative and supportive environment ensures your efforts impact the lives of children with critical illnesses. Key skills include event management and sponsorship cultivation to elevate our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute signature fundraising events with attention to detail

• Represent the Foundation at community and third-party events

• Identify and steward local sponsors and donors

• Collaborate on promotional materials with the marketing team

• Support volunteer committees in achieving event goals

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Fundraising or equivalent

• 2-3+ years in fundraising or community engagement

• Experienced with CRM systems and Microsoft Office

• Strong communication skills for public speaking

• Access to reliable transportation
