Parkinson Canada is seeking accomplished and engaged leaders to join the Campaign Cabinet for its Accelerating Care Campaign, a national campaign focused on transforming Parkinson’s care across Canada.

Campaign Cabinet members will play a critical leadership role in advancing this national movement. Working closely with Parkinson Canada’s executive leadership and campaign team, Cabinet members will serve as ambassadors, strategic advisors, and philanthropic partners, helping to strengthen the organization’s philanthropic reach, open doors to new donor communities and partnerships, and support the achievement of transformational fundraising goals.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of Parkinson’s care in Canada and create lasting impact for people living with Parkinson’s and those who support them.

The Opportunity

The Accelerating Care Campaign is bringing together a national community of leaders committed to meaningful, system-level change in Parkinson’s care.

Campaign Cabinet members will provide visible national leadership for the campaign and bring their professional expertise, networks, philanthropic leadership, and connections to new communities of support.

The role is designed to be high-impact and respectful of volunteers’ time, with comprehensive professional support provided by Parkinson Canada’s campaign team.

Key Responsibilities

Philanthropic Leadership
  • Make a personally meaningful leadership gift to the campaign.
  • Consider a multi-year commitment aligned with the campaign timeline.
  • Network Engagement
  • Identify and introduce potential donors, partners, and fellow leaders.
  • Leverage personal and professional networks to open doors and build relationships.
  • Support the recruitment of additional Campaign Cabinet members, where appropriate.
  • Fundraising Participation
  • Participate in select donor meetings with Parkinson Canada leadership.
  • Support peer-to-peer solicitation efforts.
  • Lend credibility and leadership presence to major funding opportunities.
  • Strategic Counsel
  • Provide insight and advice on campaign direction and positioning.
  • Share relevant sector, regional, or professional perspectives.
  • Offer feedback on campaign strategy and execution.
  • Ambassadorship
  • Serve as a public champion for the Accelerating Care Campaign.
  • Represent Parkinson Canada at key events and engagements.
  • Speak positively and knowledgeably about the campaign’s purpose and impact.
  • Time Commitment

Campaign Cabinet members are asked to contribute approximately 6–8 hours per quarter, including:
  • Quarterly Campaign Cabinet meetings
  • Select donor meetings and events
  • Occasional strategic conversations as needed
  • Parkinson Canada’s campaign team will provide strategic leadership and professional fundraising support, including briefing materials, donor research, meeting preparation, operational and administrative support, regular campaign updates, and impact reporting.

    What Success Looks Like

    Successful Campaign Cabinet members will:
  • Be personally invested in the success of the Accelerating Care Campaign.
  • Actively introduce and engage new prospects.
  • Participate meaningfully in donor conversations.
  • Provide thoughtful strategic insight.
  • Act as visible and credible ambassadors for Parkinson Canada.
  • A Leadership Opportunity

Serving on the Accelerating Care Campaign Cabinet is an opportunity to contribute to the future of Parkinson’s care in Canada.

Cabinet members are invited to bring not only their expertise and networks, but also their leadership and belief in what is possible when philanthropy is mobilized at a national scale.

This is both a leadership responsibility and a legacy opportunity—one with the potential to create lasting impact for Canadians living with Parkinson’s and the families, caregivers, and communities who support them.
