Join Unity Health Toronto as a Registered Nurse specializing in Maternity Care at the Family Birthing Centre. This pivotal role integrates labor, delivery, and postpartum responsibilities within a supportive team workplace. As a Family Birthing Centre RN, you will play a vital part in patient care, working in labor and postpartum units while ensuring effective and secure nursing practices.
You will enhance your competencies and knowledge to provide evidence-based interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will thrive in a rapid-paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities- Develop and evaluate patient care plans
- Organize nursing activities based on patient needs
- Educate patients and families using effective strategies
- Document care activities and patient assessments
- Lead communication for safe patient transitions
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Experience with maternity patients in a care model
- BLS certification required
- Ability to enroll in several nursing courses
- Prioritize teamwork and collaboration in care
