Registered Nurse Birthing Unit

Position: Full-Time Registered Nurse Birthing Unit
Join Humber River Health as a Full-Time Registered Nurse in the Birthing Unit at Hennick Humber Hospital. Provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns across rotational shifts.

As part of the birthing team, you will focus on patient assessment and total care for women during antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum periods. Responsibilities also include scrubbing and circulating for cesarean sections, patient education, and cross-training to the Mother Baby Unit when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide total patient care in antepartum and postpartum

• Scrub and circulate for cesarean births as needed

• Educate and support patients and families

• Assist on the Mother Baby Unit when required

• Deliver family-centered care effectively

Requirements:

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• BCLS/CPR certification and NRP certificate upon hire

• Recent experience in a Birthing Unit required

• Fetal Monitoring Course certification agreement

• Strong patient teaching and support skills
