Join Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse in the neurosurgery and orthopaedics unit. Focus on patient-centered care with responsibilities from assessment to education.
In this role, you will provide primary care for patients undergoing neurosurgery and orthopaedic procedures, including those with higher acuity needs. Your expertise in surgical care and effective communication will enhance patient outcomes. This fast-paced role requires prioritizing multiple demands while delivering compassionate care in line with Person-Centred principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage patient care across multiple disciplines
• Provide surgical education to patients and their families
• Collaborate within a dedicated healthcare team
• Implement interventions that advocate for patients' needs
• Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Requirements:
• Active Registration with CNO
• Certification in B.C.L.S.
• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Experience in surgical settings with strong skills
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
