Make a difference in residents' lives as a Registered Practical Nurse with Age Care in North York, Ontario. Collaborate with a dedicated team to provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care. As an RPN at Age Care, you will follow established policies and procedures while providing direct patient care in a geriatric setting. Your role includes guiding Personal Support Workers and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Promptly report any significant changes in residents' health to the supervising Registered Nurse, ensuring every resident's needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Implement nursing policies and procedures on the unit
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for resident care
- Guide and direct Personal Support Workers
- Participate in shift reports and communicate changes
- Notify physicians of significant changes in resident status
- Certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Current member in valuable standing with nursing college
