Join the dedicated team at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative services. In this vital role, you will provide primary care for post‑operative patients during their recovery phase. As a Registered Nurse in perioperative services, you will utilize your significant post‑surgical care experience to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor post‑operative patients in phase 2 recovery
- Advocate for patients ensuring their needs are met
- Educate patients and families on recovery processes
- Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team for optimal care
- Implement infection prevention and control best practices
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Significant recent experience in post‑surgical care
- Solid assessment and critical thinking skills
- BCLS certification; ACLS preferred
- IV Certification and oncology experience preferred
