Operating Room Nurse

Position: Operating Room Nurse at Sunnybrook
Elevate patient care as an Operating Room Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This role emphasizes assessment, intervention, and advocacy for Operating Room patients within a collaborative team.
We are in search of a passionate Registered Nurse ready to focus on patient-centered care. Candidates must have current Ontario registration, a B.C.L.S. Certificate, and postgraduate O.R. certification. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential, adhering to principles of Patient-Focused Care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care to Operating Room patients

• Conduct thorough physical assessments and interventions

• Educate patients while advocating for their needs

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary health team

• Support Aseptic Technique in all surgical procedures
Requirements:

• Current Ontario Registration with College of Nurses

• Mandatory B.C.L.S. Certificate

• Postgraduate O.R. certification along with O.R. experience

• Completion of a physical assessment course

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
