Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Nurse

Provide expert care to neurosurgery and orthopaedic patients at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This role emphasizes assessment, intervention, and patient advocacy within a collaborative healthcare team.
As a Registered Nurse, you will care for patients with varying acuity, including those needing Level 1 care. We are looking for candidates with surgical experience and a commitment to Person-Centred Care, ensuring excellence in patient education and advocacy.

Your role will be critical in supporting patients and families throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and interventions

• Collaborate with interprofessional teams consistently

• Educate patients and families pre- and post-surgery

• Advocate for patient needs and experiences

• Adapt to a fast-paced and demanding work environment
Requirements:

• Current Registration with CNO

• Current B.C.L.S. certification

• Preferably hold a

B.Sc.N. degree

• Proficient in assessment and communication skills

• Experience in surgical pre- and post-op care
