The position requires a current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and at least two years of recent medical or surgical experience. You'll be responsible for care planning, coordination of care with team members, and utilizing computerized documentation systems. Critical thinking, strong communication, and teamwork are essential as you mentor new hires and contribute to hospital committees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage R.N. responsibilities for geriatric inpatients
• Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize computerized systems for patient documentation
• Mentor newcomers and pre-grad nursing students
• Serve as a resource/team leader when needed
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS certification and 2 years medical/surgical experience
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated patient assessment capabilities
