Registered Nurse POCU​/PACU UHN

Become a pivotal part of patient recovery at Toronto General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the PACU. This part-time position emphasizes collaboration and critical monitoring within a fast-paced, compassionate care setting.

As a Registered Nurse within UHN’s PACU, you will play a vital role in post-anesthetic recovery. Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team, you will support patients after various surgical procedures, ensuring their transition through high acuity recovery. Your skills will help cultivate a cohesive environment focused on exemplary patient care for approximately 7,500 patients annually.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor post-operative patients utilizing invasive techniques

• Provide collaborative support in recovery phases

• Administer care based on UHN's nursing standards

• Enhance patient experience through effective communication

• Engage in continuous education and skill development

Requirements:

• Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification

• Minimum two (2) years experience in Critical Care

• Completion of a Critical Care Certificate program mandatory

• Preferred experience in tertiary care institutions
