Position: Baycrest Registered Practical Nurse Role
Embark on a rewarding nursing journey at Baycrest Hospital as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in the Apotex unit, providing essential care for older adults. This part-time temporary role focuses on evening shifts and demonstrates commitment to geriatric health.
In this RPN position, you will leverage your clinical skills to support older individuals with physical challenges. You’ll work collaboratively with an RN, assess resident needs, and develop personalized care strategies to promote overall wellness. Your engagement in the Apotex unit will deepen your understanding of age-related health issues while supporting the diverse needs of older adults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional clinical nursing services

• Assess client needs and create care plans

• Administer medications within practice scope

• Collaborate with the nursing team for holistic care

• Facilitate clients’ recreational and spiritual needs
Requirements:

• Registration in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Possess a Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate

• Preferred experience in long-term care or psycho geriatrics

• Familiarity with dementia care is a plus

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
