Sunnybrook Temporary PACU Registered Nurse

Elevate post-operative recovery as a Temporary PACU Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Concentrate on patient care and education in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit during recovery phases.
This full-time temporary position centers on critical care, demanding at least 2 years of recent post-surgical experience and certifications in venipuncture and IV therapy. You will empower patients through assessments, intervention strategies, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team while adhering to the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care for post-operative patients

• Advocate for and educate patients and families

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health professionals

• Uphold infection prevention and control practices

• Maintain flexibility to assist with patient flow
Requirements:

• Recent PACU or critical care experience required

• Critical Care Course completion

• Current Ontario Nurse Registration

• BCLS and ACLS preferred

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education
