Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse

Position: Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse Role
Lead cancer care at the Odette Cancer Centre as an Advanced Practice Nurse. This pivotal role involves clinical expertise, patient advocacy, and nursing leadership in an outpatient setting.
As an Advanced Practice Nurse, you will engage in practice, education, research, and leadership initiatives aimed at enhancing person-centered care. Your expertise will guide nursing staff in oncology, ensuring evidence-based practices for improving patient experiences. You will work closely with an interprofessional team to meet the dynamic needs of patients and healthcare objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate evidence into daily nursing practices

• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff

• Advocate for patient and family engagement initiatives

• Identify learning needs for nursing staff

• Engage in quality improvement and research projects
Requirements:

• Current RN registration and BCLS certification

• Master's degree in Nursing or in progress

• Minimum three years in oncology nursing

• Experience in leadership roles preferred

• Certification as Certified Oncology Nurse or OCN preferred
