Critical Care Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook

The Registered Nurse reports to the Patient Care Manager and engages with patients and families in critical situations. With a focus on assessment, intervention, and education, you will ensure adherence to Patient-Focused Care principles. Ideal candidates will possess strong critical thinking skills and prior clinical experience in critical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and interventions

• Advocate for patients and support their families effectively

• Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal care

• Educate patients about their conditions and treatment

• Participate in quality improvement projects within the unit
Requirements:

• Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• Current BCLS and preferred ACLS certification

• Critical Care Certificate or related experience

• 2-3 years of clinical experience in specialty

• Commitment to ongoing education in critical care
