In this role, you will be integral to the care of inpatients within the Acute Medicine Unit at Humber River Health. Your duties encompass care planning, mentorship for new staff, and participation in interdisciplinary teams. Critical thinking and excellent interpersonal skills are vital for your success in this supportive healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for general medicine and geriatric patients
• Coordinate care plans with various healthcare professionals
• Document patient interactions using electronic health systems
• Lead mentorship initiatives for incoming nursing students
• Engage in committee participation as needed
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Required BCLS certification
• Preferred two years of medical/surgical experience
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Consistent attendance and a clean disciplinary record
