Position: Registered Practical Nurse for Surgery Unit

Humber River Health is actively seeking qualified Registered Practical Nurses for the Surgical Inpatient Unit 11 East & West. This role demands expertise in patient health education and a diverse skill set including intravenous therapy and wound care. The team prioritizes clinical excellence, patient safety, and embraces technology for optimized care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in the Surgical Inpatient Unit

• Administer IVs, injections, and medications accurately

• Perform patient health teaching and assessment

• Manage wound care and blood transfusions proficiently

• Utilize community resources effectively for patient support
Requirements:

• Two-year diploma in Registered Practical Nursing

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• BCLS certification needed

• At least 1 year of acute surgical experience preferred

• Basic computer skills with Meditech experience is a plus
